The Astoria Timber Festival is an exciting day of logging competitions sponsored by J.M. Browning and Gustafson Logging from the History Channel's hit TV show "Ax Men." Competitions include axe throwing, choker setting, spar pole climbing, chainsaw competition, log-rolling, and much more!

The festival has more than just logging exhibitions. There will be numerous food booths, crafts, entertainment, and other attractions. Each of the Ax Men companies will have their own booth selling merchandise and autographing souvenirs. Many of the TV personalities will be on-hand for photo opportunities and share their logging experiences.

HOW TO FIND US:
Take Oregon Highway 202 east from Astoria for 3-1/2 miles.
Turn left on Walluski Loop Road (by the Oregon State Forestry Department office)
Just on your left is the fairgrounds.

On Saturday night there will be a loggers dinner followed by a dance with music provided by the Brownsmead Flats. Also on display, an old time logging museum featuring photos and narratives describing the glory days of Clatsop County logging.
